Rewind

Walking on crushed glass,

what got broken here

won't splice together;

tender poison still kills.

Love, like rabbit kits,

bubbling up above ground

under a cathedral of blue sky,

still ends up on the cutting room floor

and the dénouement isn't

"Ah, here she is at last"

but

the end.
