Was born in Calcutta in 1955. He graduated from Presidency College, Calcutta with Economics and thereafter started a career as a professional manager.

Having held many senior managerial positions in trade and industry, the last of which was as the head of an international company's operations in Russia. Ashok has since retired to start a plantation in Goa.

His sojourn to Russia and world travel has made a lasting impression, which finds frequent expression in literary outpourings. He now divides his time between Delhi, Moscow and California where his two daughters live.

His work has been published in book-form: "Reflections in the Dark" and "Crossroads" by A-4 Publications, India.

His poetry has appeared extensively on the internet and also in numerous literary magazines published from the Uk and the USA and some of them including a selection of chapbooks are available online with Scars Publications (scars.tv).
